Simhachalam Temple, perched on a hill near Visakhapatnam, enshrines Lord Narasimha in a unique combined form with Varaha, worshipped as Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. Uniquely, the deity is permanently covered in sandalwood paste (chandanam) year-round, with the true form revealed only once a year on Akshaya Tritiya during the Chandana Yatra festival.
