పూర్వాషాఢ నక్షత్ర మంత్రము
మంత్రం: యా దివ్యా ఆపః పయసా సంబభూవుః | యా అన్తరిక్ష ఉత పార్థివీర్యాః |
యాసామషాఢా అనుయన్తి కామమ్ | తా న ఆపశ్శగ్గా స్యోనా భవన్తు ||
తాత్పర్యం: ఏ దివ్యమైన జలములు సారముతో నిండి ఉన్నాయో, ఏవి అంతరిక్షంలోనూ మరియు భూమిపై ఉన్నాయో, ఏ జలముల యొక్క కోరికలను అషాఢా నక్షత్రములు అనుసరిస్తాయో, ఆ జలదేవతలు మాకు శుభమును, సుఖమును కలిగించుగాక.
మంత్రం: యాశ్చ కూప్యా యాశ్చ నాద్యా స్సముద్రియాః | యాశ్చ వైశంతీ రుత ప్రాసచీర్యాః |
యాసామషాఢా మధు భక్షయన్తి | తా న ఆపశ్శగ్ స్యోనా భవన్తు ||
తాత్పర్యం: బావులలోనివి, నదులలోనివి, సముద్రములోనివి మరియు చెరువులలోనివి, ప్రవహించే జలములు ఏవైతే ఉన్నాయో, వేటినైతే అషాఢా నక్షత్రములు మధువుగా (తేనెగా) స్వీకరిస్తాయో, ఆ జలములు మాకు శాంతిని, మంగళమును ప్రసాదించుగాక.

తాత్పర్యం: జలములకు స్వాహా, అషాఢా నక్షత్రములకు స్వాహా, సముద్రునికి స్వాహా, కోరికల నెరవేర్పుకు స్వాహా మరియు విజయమునకు స్వాహా అని ఆహుతులు సమర్పిస్తున్నాను.

Poorvashadha Nakshatra Mantram
Mantra: yā divyā āpaḥ payasā sambabhūvuḥ | yā antarikṣa uta pārthivīryāḥ |
yāsāmaṣāḍhā anuyanti kāmam | tā na āpaś-śag-m syōnā bhavantu ||
Meaning: May the divine waters that are filled with essence, those that exist in the sky (atmosphere) and on the earth, and whose desires the Ashadha stars follow, be auspicious and bring happiness to us.
Mantra: yāśca kūpyā yāśca nādyā samudriyāḥ | yāśca vaiśantī ruta prāsacīryāḥ |
yāsāmaṣāḍhā madhu bhakṣayanti | tā na āpaś-śag-m syōnā bhavantu ||
Meaning: The waters found in wells, rivers, and oceans, as well as those in small ponds and flowing streams—of which the Ashadha stars partake as honey—may all those waters grant us peace and well-being.
Homa Mantram: adbhyas-svāhāṣāḍhābhyas-svāhā | samudrāya svāhā kāmāya svāhā | abhi jityai svāhā ||
Meaning: I offer this oblation to the Waters (Apah), to the Ashadha stars, to the Ocean, to the fulfillment of Desires, and for ultimate Victory.
